Tuotekuvaus

This kit helps to maintain the optimal CVT transmission performance when changing the tire size of the vehicle from standard. Our upgrade spring kits fits for all Can-Am Outlander / Renegade models from 400 to 1000cc. Medium spring kit for models equipped with 26”-27” wheels. Further info: When installing larger diameter tires, it is recommended to change the variator settings also. If the variator settings are not changed, the clutch will try to engage too soon and variator changes the transmission gearing too early for the larger wheels, placing a heavy load on the variator belt, which could end with broken belt in the worst case. If the variator belt has broken for some reason, it has probably generated high heat in the variator parts, which could also have effect on the variator (clutch)spring. A loosen spring causes the clutch to engage too soon and the transmission gearing changes too early, which usually can cause the new variator belt to break. So, it is recommended that the (clutch)spring in the variator should be always replaced in pairs with a new belt. The function of the secondary variator is to make the transmission heavier as the speed increases and the spring and helix inside it determine this event as desired. If the ring size is changed to a larger than two inches constant, for example, it makes the constant really high on the variator when accelerating, because then it tries to implement too much transmission too early. This can be easily remedied by replacing the variator spring with a stiffer, thereby slowing the growth of the transmission and creating additional belt pressure which increases belt grip.
